The Dyslexia Friendly Classroom
| Participants will be supported to identify typical Dyslexic behaviours and appropriate inclusive accommodations which are easily implemented by non-Dyslexia specialist class and subject teachers. Also, because getting it right for Dyslexia really does it right for all, these accommodations will benefit a majority of learners in the class. With more than half an eye towards participants going back to school to share the strategies, the presentation will cover solutions for spelling jargon words, minimizing decoding issues to capitalize on comprehension, learning for tests, getting ideas down on paper and some advice for working with parents. |
