NEW Portsmouth Schools Staff Wellbeing

Aims of the course
·To provide a range of practical actions that we can all take to look after our own emotional wellbeing at this extraordinary time.
·The practical actions will be evidence-based from Psychology and Neuroscience.
·To be both reassuring and to learn new actions to try out for our own wellbeing.
·To be signposted to further information if staff would like to know more about any of the specificapproaches and interventions.
The course will have 7 x sessions including:
An introduction session which will focus upon:
·The importance of our wellbeing
·Understanding the impact of unpredictable, extreme and/or prolonged stress on all of us
·The actions that we probably know but may not do
·The actions that we may not know and definitely need to do
·Breathing techniques that we can use to manage stress, regulate and calm our physiology and even re-energise ourselves
·Making effective use of grounding, soothing and regulating activities for our own wellbeing
·Mindfulness is a superpower leading to increased calm, focus and resilience
·Getting through a tough week
· Yoga for emotional wellbeing
· Being a relective practitioner
· Bringing it all together
Dates:
Session 1: 2nd December 2020 4 pm - 5pm
Session 2: 15th December 2020 4pm - 4.30pm
Session 3: 13th January 2021 4pm - 4.30pm
Session 4: 27th January 2021 4pm - 4.30pm
Extra Sessions:
Session 5 : 24th February 4pm - 4.30pm
Session 6 : 10th March 4pm - 4.30pm
Session 7: 24th March 2021 4pm - 4.30pm

FREE to all staff from Portsmouth Schools (must be on the Portsmouth Schools List) thanks to funding from Portsmouth City Council
£30 per person for staff not on the Portsmouth Schools list.
