IMPORTANT NOTICE - NEW DATES for Sessions 5 & 6
Given the Coronavirus pandemic, we have carefully considered how we can proceed with our training whilst ensuring your safety and wellbeing.
It is for this reason that we have decided to move all our courses, including those postoned from 2019-2020, and those scheduled for 2020-2021 to an online platform.
The use of the PACE+ Approach (playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy), overtime by key adults with a child or young person who has experienced relational trauma:
Helps to overcome blocked trust
Breaks the cycle of blocked care
Helps the child or young person to become open and engaged to learning.
This course is FULLY funded and therefore is free to all staff based in Portsmouth schools. The course consists of 6 sessions over the period of 6 weeks, each session focusing on different aspects of the approach
- From mistrust to trust
- Teaching the social and emotional skills not yet learned
- Correction with connection
- Resilience and trauma informed and attachment aware
- The right intervention at the right time.
